iOS 5 Feature: Rename device on the phone
We have been exploring some of the unannounced features of iOS 5. We already posted about:
- iOS lockscreen [iOS 5 hidden feature]” href=”http://www.karthikk.net/2011/06/open-camera-app-from-ios-lockscreen-ios-5-hidden-feature/”>Open camera app from lockscreen
- How to adjust sound balance on iPhone or iPad or iPod running iOS 5
- How to sync contacts with iCloud on iOS 5
- And a lot more
Another addition to this list of new features in iOS 5 is that which enables you to Rename your iDevices’ name right on your iDevice. All you need to do is to go to Settings > General > About > Name
You will get the above screen where you can edit the name of this device. This feature tells clearly that iOS 5 will bring a completely PC free functionality, where users were allowed to change the name of their iPhone or iPad or iPod only with iTunes.
